The following schools, with contact information, are offering scholarships to 11th and 12th grade students who have work accepted in the 2009 Ohio Governor's Youth Art Exhibition. In most cases students will need to apply to these schools before they are eligible candidates for these scholarships.

Mount Union College will offer one $3,500 art scholarship to a recipient selected from the participants in the Ohio Governor's Youth Art Exhibition at the state level. This offer will be contingent upon a portfolio review and admission to the College. In addition, art proficiency awards are available from Mount Union College on a competitive basis as the result of a portfolio review during a campus visit and contingent upon admission to the College.

The value of the scholarship will be $6,000 for the first year and is renewable for an additional $6,000 for the second year if the recipient maintains a 3.0 average. One scholarship for a 5-day class at the Quilt/Surface Design Symposium in Columbus, Ohio. Classes of the highest quality and most comprehensive range are offered in design, theory, art quilt sewing techniques, and methods of creating unique fabric design, such as dyeing, fabric painting, batik, photocopy fabric, and thermofax printing. Students who have artwork accepted into the Ohio Governor's Exhibition, and receive certificates indicating placement in the top 300 works, may be eligible to receive a $1,500 per year admission scholarship to SCAD, should they apply and be accepted. Accepted students may be eligible for additional scholarships based on GPA and SAT or ACT scores, portfolio submission, audition or writing submission. Scholarships are limited and are awarded to the earliest qualifiers. Students entering in the fall are encouraged to apply and submit required scholarship materials no later than February 15.
